Founded in 2017, in Nigeria, Fassy couture has emerged as a distinctive fashion brand that elegantly fuses the richness of African culture with contemporary design. The brand specialises in bespoke and custom womenswear that are suitable for various occasions including dinner dresses, birthday dresses, civil and traditional wedding dress, white wedding dress, party dress and special occasion dress.

Each design reflects the brand’s dedication and commitment to make women feel empowered, elegant and stylish in their entire wardrobe selection. In 2024, Fassy couture expanded its reach by serving new clientele in the United Kingdom, experiencing growth and gaining recognition after being showcased at the African fashion week London.

Adebunmi Afekhare leads the creative direction of Fassy Couture, she was born and grew up in the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria. Adebunmi’s passion for fashion was inspired by her love for elegant look and style. With over seven years of experience in fashion design, her journey originally began from secondary school days when she sews a garment using a needle and thread during her final project in home economics. The final design shocked the home economics teacher and the panel and wondered how she was able to achieve the final garment design at her age and with tools available.

Adebunmi is a student at the British academy of fashion design where she is deepening her knowledge in the industry. Her designs are distinguished by their innovative waistlines and enhanced silhouettes, reflecting her talent for fusing traditional styles with contemporary designs.

Based in the United Kingdom, Fassy couture reaches women globally through various initiatives, including fashion shows and social media platforms. Our designs unite expert beadwork with captivating optical illusions and luxurious fabrics to produce pieces that will be remembered forever. Our mission is to transform African luxury fashion through beautiful designs which enable every woman to experience self-assurance and power when they step out.
